Love on every door...

Lovely Monday to all I hope! We had a crazy case of the Monday's here, but as the day progressed it got a lot better! Me and the kiddos took a little time to visit with my sweet, sweet cousin A. and her adorable (I mean for real yall) little twin daughters! When I was pregnant with Canaan, A. was pregnant with her twins...as a matter of fact, we had the same due date! But since she was carrying twins she obviously delivered first....anyway, since we will be moving soon I wanted to squeeze one more visit in with some of our favies and I am so glad she was able to visit with us!

On another note, I think boxes are on the extinct list....because either no one has them or it is apparently illegal to climb in a dumpster.... go figure....lol. I mean, it is not like dumpsters are slimy, germ and bacteria infested, smelly glass ridden metal containers...come on ...... lol. I will survive.... this is my theme song at the moment. Hah. Anyway back to boxes....I just don't feel like I should have to pay for a slice of cardboard that just so happens to fold up into a nice little cube that holds things....its like water...it should be free....( oh yeah, water should be free, just ask me).

Ok off of my rant for now....

These pictures were taken just before the Mr. left to the "new city" ...the first time. Luca wanted his papa to cut out hearts for him and write all our names in each heart....then he went around to each of our bedroom doors (yes, me and the Mr. share a room....just in case that didnt come out clearly lol) and stuck each person's heart on their door. THE cutest thing ever! So here they are....2 or is it 3 weeks later?.....and I just dont have the "heart" (get it...? heart? ok, Im done...) to take them down....would it be creepy if I left it for the new people? Yeah, probably. I thought it would be nice to take a few pictures to remember my sweet boy's gesture, and share it with you all....to me it was like he was saying, " no matter whether you are physically 'here', your heart is wherever you leave it." but that's just me....maybe he got it off an episode of Wonder Pets or something....lol.... Now that would be funny.

In Lists, it is Mecca...in life, it's just Kibble

Lets De-clutter List

(don't I just look soooo overwhelmed haha)

...actually it should be called: What I Have to Do Tomorrow List

...no pressure...

1. organize all my materials (ya know, the crafting kind) into their new home
(a storage container woohoo lol)...and finally out of my kitchen.
2. wrap the last of the presents
3. clean, my already clean house....cuhzzz I am ocd...don't kid. It is a prah.blem.
4. Find a way to convince Luca that using the "Big Boy Potty" is actually pretty awesome and
all the popular kids are doing it...but wait, that's kind of an everyday thing, my bad.
5. Find the cheese box my dad says he has somewhere in his "museum" (or as most people call them, his house) of ah-mazing stuff...yes, the cheese box is a must for my life at the moment.
6. Pick more pecans...like all of them...(we have several on our property)...so no more random
strangers stop to graze my front yard like herded cattle...(except the old lady that promised to bring us a pie...she can pick them all she wants).
7. Wash my hair...we all know that's important...but with my mane...this is a very long process...
well the (drying of said hair anyway).
8. Welcome our visitors (the Mr.'s Nana and Grandpa) who will be celebrating Christmas with us and my extended family.
9. Figure out what-the-heck I am going to wear for Christmas....that just might send me over the edge guys...lol
10. Add all the stuff above to my list of washing, cleaning, bathing babes, diaper changing, feeding,
chasing, correcting, kissing, wrangling and yep, LOVING the heck outta my little (and big) men!

There Was a Milestone

Hi all! We've been running around like crazy on our little vacation in the mountains!
It has snowed quite a bit and has left several inches and tons of ice everywhere! Ahhh!
I will post more of our early Christmas festivities later tomorrow or Thursday, but I just thought I would stop by and have another proud momma moment with you all....
Just before we left for the mountains on Monday....

...birdie found his feet♥

Happy almost Christmas everyone!

(sorry for the fewer posts these past couple days... I will try
and keep up even being out of town, but ya know how that goes,
and for good reason...lots of good fun being had!

....And We're Off!

The presents are wrapped...
The planning is (almost) done...
the wait is nearly over...

We are off to the mountains on Monday!
There is nothing like the nearing of a holiday vacation
to get me excited and ready for festivities!
We are spending close to a week with the Mr.'s fam...
the whole family to be exact! Which is great considering
it has been, gosh, nearly 2 years or so since this has happened!
We are beyond excited! We are having our "Christmas" dinner
while there...and the Mr's dad is an awesome cook (who also does not
like much help in the kitchen). So, needless to say, I probably won't be able
to step near a spatula or baking dish a single time while Im there, but that
is ok...I probably need the break more than I realize.

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

A Road Trip Story: Part 2

As promised (though a day late...oops) here is part 2 of our road trip/thanksgiving "journey".... Every year, most of the family on the Mr.'s side gathers at his granny and papa's home to celebrate Thanksgiving. They all pack in to the house, sleeping on sofas, spare bedrooms, the floors....even a camper that is delivered to their home and parked in the yard for extra sleeping space!!! This year, because I guess there was so many of us now lol and because birdie is so tiny, we got to stay in the camper!!! How exciting...!!!....at first.... it felt like a camping adventure....and this camper was really nice too! But it was tough for the kiddos to sleep close together as one kept waking up the other....ahhhh!!! Jason had a struggle with the extra soft bed...but I loved it....so needless to say we didn't get as much sleep as we would have liked, but it was still pretty cool to have stayed in it. I wish I had taken a picture of it arghhhh.....
So, all together, there was nearly 20 of us total....and there was lots of yummy food, card games, and all-around fun times....Here are a few pics we took on Turkey day....

to think 3 years ago...Mr. and I were sitting on this very sofa anticipating the arrival of this little cutie!!!
So crazy how the time goes!

Granny is always making beautiful centerpieces....like this one!

me and my monkey

birdie got held A LOT by everyone lol...gave this momma a little break...here's Nana with birdie

we ♥ holidays....

who could resist this handsome little devil?!?!?!

Have a great day everyone....I have been almost non-stop with my ornament-making!!! My hands hurt lol....but I'm on the home stretch now!!! I see the light! Making them is so fun though...I may just whip up a tutorial for you all since it is fun, inexpensive and well cute!!!

Cheers!

A Road trip Story: Part 1

For Thanksgiving this year, as I mentioned yesterday, we took a little roadtrip to Florida to see the Mr.'s family (his granny and papa live there). I was a little hesitant at first about going on a roadtrip that far because it is are first since the birdie was born...I had no idea how the kiddos would handle traveling for 7 + hours (sheesh). Though it was long, the babes did an awesome job!!! Canaan slept most of the time...and Luca cat-napped, sang and danced with me to our fave jams and pointed and "wow! Oh! my-ed" to a bahjillion things lol...It was a great trip in that sense....Now if only I hadn't had an ear infection for the whole trip down....ughhhh. But thankfully the kids were good in that respect too because I surely didn't have the energy to handle tough times...The Mr. was extra nice too driving the whole way by himself...sweet thing he is!!! To top it all off......we got to stop at a Shoneys for lunch...cheeseball I know....but I have truly not been to one since I was like 8 years old...on a roadtrip with my family...so it was fitting to be able to share and pass down this little roadtrip tradition :)....but ps the food was not as awesome as I remembered...though it was the breakfast, and not lunch that I remember being awesome. Here are the first of several holiday pics ...some are from the trip down and others are while there with the fam...Enjoy!

Luca was so pleased with himself...he helped cousin Carrie decorate the tree all by himself!!!
He was dancing the happy jig....the whole rest of the day he kept saying "look, good job tree!" lol
what a sweetie ♥

Shoneyssssssss.....!

Snagged a pic with Nana ♥

....two of my crazy boysss causing havock in pub-lic lol....

....he truly was so peaceful the whole time....see?!?!
♥ that birdie.
Come back tomorrow (hopefully lol) I will have part 2 for ya! Have a great night all!

It's beginning to feel....

....like I have wayyyy to much to do!!!! The holidays have kicked in, and as you can tell from blogging absence, it is a pretty busy time for us around here!

We were able to spend some time in Florida with the Mr.'s family, thanks to his generous grandparents, so (since we just got back last night) we are winding down from the veryyyy long trip that it was.

I will try and post about our little Florida adventure soon, but I wanted you all to get a sneak peak at the beginnings of our "homemade Christmas"

Sorry for the frumpy pic..I used my phone ;) I decided I wanted to make some special ornaments for the tree this year....each made ornament will represent something about each one of us (our likes, faves, styles,etc.). I am excited...here is the beginning stage or my first one!!!
Have a great night all!!!!

Birthday Bash

What a treasure of a birthday did I have! I am so thankful for and blessed with my little family ♥

Tonight my parents, my abuela and her husband (who are visiting from Texas), my brother and my little fam are all having a cookout for the other part of my birthday celebration. I am one lucky girl! The Mr. went out of his way to make my day so very special and it was....more than I could possibly deserve, but am happy and thankful for him and my boys!

Yesterday, he sent me to the store to pick up some things for "dinner" except he was trying to get me out of the house to prepare for a little surprise....when I got home I was greeted by my whole little family and a kitchen completely covered with balloons with sweet little messages written on each one. There was cake and cards and a beautiful gift from my two little ones (with great help from their dad of course) ...a beautiful double heart, diamond necklace...and on the box was written:

What a wonderful surprise!

My abuela (grandmother) and her husband were finally able to come for a visit (from Texas) to meet the bird! There visit also happened to land on my birthday week so it was extra special this time! Yesterday, they came over and brought us all lunch...then we had a little photo sesh lol:

4 generations ♥

Abuela meets the bird♥

Birthday momma and her boys ♥

What a great time!!!!

Oh! and we also (courtesy of the Mr.) were able to get snapshots of the whole surprise birthday party as it went down...including a shot of my surprised, walking-through-the-door pic:

Thanks everyone, for all the great birthday wishes!

24 has started out great already!!!

Cheers♥
