"A portrait of my kids, once a week, every week, in 2014"

Luca: Kindergarten. We took the leap and began our homeschool journey...you and I.
I am so glad...so thankful we did. I have grown right along with you...You are so bright!
So eager! I know that one day I will look back on these learning moments and be grateful
that I didn't let fear overcome my heart. I am honored to have been there when you read
your first words... solved your first math problems... watched as you discovered how
things work... I can't describe that feeling...but humbled is a good place to start.

Canaan: Peaceful scenes. I catch myself grasping for the tiny glimpses of
the sweet toddler that is so quickly disappearing and who is transforming
into a no-more-baby-cheeks little boy...I just sit and admire that sweet face
and how strong you are... I see you fighting to be bigger...like your brother... but still not
quite there...in-between... the frustration of having all these words yet not quite sure
how all of them work... your contagious belly laughs...and mischievous smile...
make my heart so happy...
and then I see you sleep...and I pray for time to stand still.

Neiva: My forever pal...my laundry folding buddy... always on my hip...or close
by... my little chatty lady... such a joy. I could kiss and cuddle those baby rolls all day long
...
and still wouldn't have enough.
I can't believe you are about to start eating
baby foods... and high chairs...and teeth...and all the things big girls have/do...I confess...I'm not sure
I'm ready to give up my little newborn girl... but you're the sweetest baby girl of all.
My little blessing.

i am so proud... this is beautiful...!!!! homeschooling!!! you have to let me know how you took the plunge, and how you go about it... i´m the kind of mama that has always been captivated by the idea, but by fear as well... you rock elenita!
