It's Official....EEK!!!!

 Happy Thursday friends!
I have been mulling over how best to share this next bit of information with you all...
which is funny because that is what blogging is all about...but sometimes I have a hard time letting
parts of me (and my life) be shared...not because I want to hide it, but because I guess I am a little insecure.
Who me?
Oh yes, you have no idea....

I am kind of a perfectionist and I always want everything to be perfect...hello sister that is never going to happen....not ever.

During the time of my grandfather's illness and passing over the last couple of months... I have also been working like a crazy person on my own business...
my own photography business!

This is so exciting and terrifying all at the same time for me...
because this has been a dream of mine since...well, since I took my first photography class in college....
or really, since I got my first Barbie camera from my parents when I was 8.

I have been doing "unofficial" shoots since January, but have really been working to get everything official since March. I am so blessed to have a "business-minded" husband who is willing to help me with all the technical stuff...and great friends (on and offline) who have supported me and pushed me to see all this through.

I am currently working on the design for my photography website...which I will share with you all as soon as it is up....but for now, I have changed my facebook page a little to work for both the blog and the business (Bird & Tree Photography). I would love it if you would stop by, say hi, even "like"  my page....! I will be based in South Carolina but I am also available for travel, particularly in NC and GA....if you are interested in booking a session or have any questions feel free to message me!

Phew....I feel so much better now! Do you know how hard it was (even though I was a little nervous to) to NOT talk about this with you!?!?! Oh man.... somebody tell me to never do that again! lol

Ok!
On to the good stuff....

A couple of weeks back I had the privilege of photographing this little one's very first birthday! The first birthday is always so special...and I soaked it up (since I have no little babies anymore) as much as possible! Little Nolyn's birthday was a blast....there were bubbles, balloons and of course...the coolest bouncy castle of all time!!!! I was really honored to be a part of the celebration and provide them with some photographs that they can look back on for years to come! Here are a few shots from the day!

that little man is so adorable right!?!?!

I will be catching up on some things over the next couple of days...so I might have a day with a couple of posts...I missed my All the Months post for April so I need to get that done as well as my month collage so make sure you stop back in to see those.

Ok...back to work I go!

Congratulations! This is so exciting. I've been mulling over the idea of starting a handmade product business but I'm still in the very early stages. It's really intimidating... How did you finally decide to take the big step?
