Wild at Heart... and a warm thank you...

***
I had every intention of posting as I had mentioned in my last post, but, as many of you may know, my grandfather passed away this past week and all those plans changed. We have spent the entire week with friends and family, making preparations for burial, helping where needed and just well, acting out the true meaning of family. Times like these, make you realize so many things... and though it has been hard, I am so very thankful for all of your support and love...your sweet words of encouragement and condolences.  Hopefully, there will be no other major cause for me to be away for so long...nearly half a month! I have said this so many times when thinking about my blog...that, I could have thousands of readers who cared very little or I could have a couple hundred readers with hearts larger than life...and I would always rather have the latter...YOU friends, are the latter...there may not be thousands of you but I don't for a second care...you all have been such a testament to friendship, care and thoughtfulness....and that means so much more than any number could ever produce.

Before all the chaos of the last couple of weeks began, my little guys, the Mr. and myself were invited to a birthday bash for our friends' little boy....at the ZOO! We, along with several other friends and their kiddos, headed an hour-ish away to celebrate the day. We had a blast at the end of the day we bought the kiddos these pretty awesome animal masks from the gift shop. I snapped this picture as we were rounding all the others up to head to the last exhibit before leaving. These silly kiddos of mine keep me laughing and smiling no matter what, and after the weeks we have had...it is so healing and uplifting to be able to look back and find some joy. Plus, you have to admit...they make pretty great animals these two...oh, and in case you were wondering...I did not intentionally dress Luca in the monkey shirt on purpose...I didn't even realize it until we got there...but how appropriate! hahaha...

I will probably post a few more zoo pics here and there...
I am not making any post "promises" for now... it has been an emotional roller coaster, as I am sure you can imagine, and for now I will just see how it goes. You gals (and guys?) are so supportive and I am so glad you have been so patient with me through this whole process :)

Happy Sunday Friends!

XOXO

I couldn't not check out this post when I saw it on the Simple Things link-up! Cute photo! For some reason it reminded me of The Wild Things. Sorry you've been having a rough time lately and for the loss of your grandfather.

Love the picture. I think God gives us just enough beautiful things in our day to day lives to help us get through the tough stuff:)
